- There is no mandatory level gate. Level 2 or higher is recommended for a new Rookgaard character.
- No vocation, party or previous NPC activation is required.
- Keep at least one free inventory slot and enough capacity for the 59 oz Studded Shield.
- Do not eat, sell or discard the Banana before speaking with Willie.
- Premium is not required by the detected Dathoria quest data

Collect the one-time banana from the Rookgaard banana palm and take it to Willie. After the exact banana + yes dialogue, Willie removes one Banana and gives one Studded Shield. The palm is one-time per character, while Willie's exchange remains item-based and can be repeated with additional bananas.
Objective: Use the banana palm, keep the Banana in your inventory, then return to Willie and complete the exchange with the exact keywords banana and yes.
Walkthrough
- Prepare one free inventory slot and enough capacity for the Banana and the much heavier Studded Shield.
- Travel to the Rookgaard banana palm and use the palm. On the first successful use, your character receives one Banana.
- If the palm reports that it is empty, that character has already collected its quest Banana.
- Do not eat the Banana. Return to Willie in Rookgaard with the item in your inventory or an accessible backpack.
- Greet Willie with hi. You may say recipes first to hear his request for a banana.
- Say banana. Willie asks whether you found one for him.
- Say yes. Willie removes one Banana and gives one Studded Shield.
- Confirm that the Studded Shield entered your inventory. If you obtain another Banana later, the same exchange dialogue can be used again.
