Combat Knife Quest

Part 1 — Prepare in Rookgaard

No quest item is required, but verify capacity and inventory space before entering.

• At least 8.70 oz free capacity
• One free inventory position
• Optional food or healing

1. Check that your character has at least 8.70 oz of free capacity.
2. Leave one hand, equipment slot or backpack position available for the Combat Knife.
3. Food or emergency healing is optional; the only monsters on the classic route are Rats.
4. Do not search for an NPC, mission dialogue, key or level door. None is part of this quest.

• The quest is available to Free Account characters.
• Level 2 is recommended, not enforced by the server.
• A character may complete the quest solo.

Part 2 — Enter the Rookgaard Sewers

Use one of the normal sewer entrances in town.

1. Use a sewer entrance in central Rookgaard or the stairs east of the temple area.
2. Both entrances connect to the same sewer network, so your first turns may differ.
3. After reaching floor 8, orient yourself toward the connected southern sewer corridors.
4. There is no Premium restriction, level restriction or storage check at the entrance.

• If a guide appears to give the opposite direction, it may be starting from the other sewer entrance.
• The route uses normal stairs and passages, not a teleport.

Part 3 — Follow the Rat Corridors

Advance through the short sewer route without searching for a puzzle.

• Basic weapon or fist combat

1. Follow the connected corridors toward the Combat Knife reward section.
2. Kill, block or run past the Rats. Killing every Rat is not required.
3. Continue until you reach the small room or dead-end section with several Rats near debris.
4. Do not attack or use the debris with tools; it exists only to conceal the reward visually.

• The classic route contains Rats, not a boss or quest creature.
• Respawn state can change how many Rats are visible when you arrive.

Part 4 — Find the Hidden Reward

The chest is partly concealed by the sewer decoration.

• 8.70 oz free capacity
• One free inventory position

1. Clear enough Rats to stand safely beside the debris-covered reward area.
2. Move close to the wall and identify the usable reward container behind or beside the rubble.
3. Check capacity and inventory space one final time before using it.
4. Use the container once. A successful claim displays “You have found a combat knife.”

• The debris must not be removed.
• The Combat Knife is not ordinary map loot; it is an individual quest reward.

Part 5 — Confirm the Combat Knife

Verify the reward before leaving the sewers.

• Combat Knife

1. Open your inventory and confirm that one Combat Knife was delivered.
2. The correct weapon has Attack 8, Defense 6, weighs 8.70 oz and is a one-handed sword weapon.
3. Using the same reward again with the same character displays “It is empty.”
4. Another character may still use the reward normally because the claim is stored per character.

• If the item was not delivered because there was no room or capacity, free space and use the chest again.
• The quest must not be considered complete until the item has actually been delivered.

Part 6 — Leave the Sewers

Return using the connected sewer passages.

1. Walk back through the Rat corridors using the same route.
2. Use any connected sewer exit that returns you to Rookgaard.
3. No finishing NPC, report, payment or additional action is required.
4. Store or equip the Combat Knife as desired.

• The quest has no timer or automatic reset.
• Logout, death and server restart do not restore the reward for the same character.
