Quest Notes

Explore the Bear Cave east of Rookgaard, uncover the concealed descent with a Shovel, cut the blocking wheat with a Scythe, cross the Fire Fields and search the dead dragon for a complete reward Bag.

Objective: Reach the dead dragon at the end of the underground fire corridor and claim one Bag containing exactly one Legion Helmet and one Copper Shield.

Walkthrough

  1. Leave Rookgaard town through the eastern route and travel to the Bear Cave.
  2. Enter the cave and clear the Bears around the passages so they cannot surround you while using tools.
  3. Continue through the cave until you reach the underground lake area and the concealed ground tile used by the quest route.
  4. Use your Shovel on the correct concealed tile. When the hole opens, descend to the lower floor.
  5. Find the wheat blocking the narrow passage and use the Scythe on it. Walk through before it returns.
  6. Follow the corridor toward the dead dragon. You must cross the Fire Fields; heal between fields instead of rushing with low health.
  7. At the end of the route, use the dead dragon itself. The reward is not in a normal chest and there is no NPC to speak with.
  8. Make sure you have at least 102.00 oz of free capacity and one inventory position. Receive the Bag containing the Legion Helmet and Copper Shield.
  9. Return through the same Fire Field corridor, pass the wheat position and leave through the cave route.

Complete Step-by-Step Guide

Part 1 — Reach Bear Cave

Travel east from Rookgaard and prepare the entrance before going deeper.

Items for this route
  • 1 Shovel
  • 1 Scythe
  • Healing supplies
  • At least 102.00 oz of free capacity
Complete step-by-step
  1. Leave the protected town area through the eastern Rookgaard route and head toward Bear Cave.
  2. Enter the cave carefully. Bears can approach from more than one direction, so avoid fighting several at once at low level.
  3. Keep the Shovel and Scythe in an accessible container. Both are needed before the reward room can be reached.
  4. Do not fill your inventory with Bear loot if doing so would leave less than 102.00 oz or no free position for the reward Bag.
Important route notes
  • There is no quest NPC and no keyword starts this quest.
  • The Bears are normal spawns; killing a specific Bear does not unlock anything.

Part 2 — Open the concealed descent

Use the Shovel at the hidden ground opening near the underground lake.

Items for this route
  • Shovel
Complete step-by-step
  1. Follow the cave passages until you reach the internal lake section.
  2. Look for the concealed ground tile belonging to the lower route; it does not open merely by stepping on it.
  3. Use the Shovel directly on that ground tile.
  4. After it changes into an open hole, step onto it to descend.
Important route notes
  • Using the Shovel on nearby ordinary ground does nothing.
  • The opened hole can return to its closed state through normal decay. Simply use the Shovel again when needed.

Part 3 — Cut the wheat passage

The lower route is physically blocked until the correct tool is used.

Items for this route
  • Scythe
Complete step-by-step
  1. After descending, approach the wheat that blocks the narrow passage.
  2. Use the Scythe directly on the wheat.
  3. Walk through the cleared position and continue toward the fire corridor.
Important route notes
  • A sword, Machete or ordinary use action is not a substitute for the Scythe.
  • The wheat may return after its normal decay period, so do not wait unnecessarily in the opening.

Part 4 — Cross the Fire Fields

The route contains four large fields and one medium field on the intended path.

Items for this route
  • Healing supplies
Complete step-by-step
  1. Check your health before entering the field corridor.
  2. Cross one field at a time and heal whenever the remaining damage could become dangerous.
  3. Continue until you reach the chamber containing the dead dragon.
  4. Remember that you must cross the same dangerous route again when returning.
Important route notes
  • Destroy Field is not required for this quest.
  • There is no living Dragon or boss that must be killed to activate the corpse.

Part 5 — Claim the complete reward Bag

Use the dead dragon, not the floor or a nearby decorative object.

Items for this route
  • 102.00 oz free capacity
  • One free inventory position
Complete step-by-step
  1. Stand beside the dead dragon at the end of the route and use the corpse.
  2. The server checks whether this character has already taken the reward.
  3. With enough capacity and room, you receive one Bag.
  4. Open the Bag and verify that it contains exactly one Legion Helmet and one Copper Shield.
  5. If the corpse reports that it is empty, this character has already claimed the reward.
Important route notes
  • The reward is individual. Another player claiming it does not empty the corpse for your character.
  • If you lack capacity or space, clear your inventory and use the corpse again; the quest is not consumed by a failed delivery.
  • The reward can be claimed only once per character.

Part 6 — Return safely

There is no exit teleport; leave through the same physical route.

Items for this route
  • Remaining healing supplies
Complete step-by-step
  1. Leave the corpse chamber and cross the Fire Fields again.
  2. Pass the wheat position; use the Scythe again if it has returned and blocks the way.
  3. Reach the concealed-hole section and continue through Bear Cave toward Rookgaard town.
Important route notes
  • Do not spend every healing item before claiming the reward because the return route still includes Fire Fields and Bears.

Dathoria Tips

  • Buy or borrow both tools before leaving town; returning for a forgotten Scythe is the most common wasted trip.
  • Keep the reward weight in mind while looting Bears. Exactly 102.00 oz is enough when one inventory position is available.
  • Move slowly through the Fire Fields and let regeneration or healing recover you between steps.
  • Click the dead dragon itself. Searching for a chest, lever or NPC in the final chamber will not complete the quest.
  • Open the received Bag immediately and confirm both items before beginning the return route.
