Quest Overview

Requirements

• Premium Account and access to Port Hope are required.
• There is no formal level requirement or level door. Level 70+ is recommended because a normal Hydra guards the room.
• The quest may be completed solo. A blocker or partner is optional for fragile characters.
• No NPC, previous mission, key, lever, shovel, rope, pick or mandatory kill is required.
• Keep at least 20 oz of free capacity and one free inventory slot for the Hydra Egg.
• The Hydra does not need to be killed. You may defeat it or run past it and use the nest.
• Premium account required

Quest Notes

A short classic Tibia 8.0 exploration quest in eastern Tiquanda. Reach the small Hydra cave, survive or bypass the Hydra guarding it and take one Hydra Egg from the special nest in the northeastern part of the chamber.

Objective: Travel from Port Hope into eastern Tiquanda, enter the Hydra cave, reach the quest nest and collect one Hydra Egg without losing the reward because of insufficient capacity or backpack space.

Walkthrough

1. Begin in Port Hope and prepare before leaving town. Carry strong healing, enough mana, at least 20 oz of free capacity and one free inventory slot.
2. Leave Port Hope toward eastern Tiquanda. Follow the jungle paths east while avoiding unnecessary fights with the creatures spread through the vegetation.
3. Continue toward the Hydra area east of the city. The route is exposed, so do not stop in narrow passages where several jungle creatures can surround you.
4. Locate the cave entrance near coordinates 32943, 32700, 7. The entrance leads to the small underground chamber used by this quest.
5. Descend into the cave. A single normal Hydra spawns in the room. This creature is not a boss and does not trigger the reward.
6. Choose your approach before moving deeper: kill the Hydra safely, have a partner block it, or run past it toward the northeastern side of the chamber.
7. Reach the special Hydra's Nest near the northeastern part of the room. The quest nest is the fixed map object associated with the reward; ordinary decorative nests do not work.
8. Make sure you still have at least 20 oz of capacity and one free inventory slot, then use the nest.
9. On the first successful use, you receive exactly one Hydra Egg. The reward is recorded only after the item is actually placed in your inventory.
10. If you lack capacity or space, nothing is consumed and the quest is not marked as collected. Free space and use the nest again.
11. After a successful collection, later uses by the same character show that the nest is empty. The nest remains available for other characters.
12. Return to Port Hope by the same jungle route. Keep the Hydra Egg if you plan to use it in The Ape City Quest; Hairycles accepts the normal item and does not require proof that it came from this nest.

Dathoria Tips

• Clear nearby jungle monsters before entering so they do not follow you to the cave entrance.
• Fragile characters should use a blocker or speed equipment rather than trying to trade hits with the Hydra.
• Open a dedicated backpack slot before entering the room so the reward cannot fail because all containers are full.
• After collecting the egg, verify it in your inventory before beginning the return route.
• Keep the egg in a safe backpack or depot if it will be used later for Hairycles.
