Requirements

  • Free Account characters may complete the quest; Premium Account is not required.
  • There is no mandatory level gate. Level 2 or higher is recommended for the route.
  • No vocation, party or previous NPC activation is required.
  • Keep at least one free inventory slot and enough capacity for the notebook and the 35 oz Short Sword.
  • Be prepared for Poison Spiders and other low-level creatures near the south-eastern shore.
  • Premium is not required by the detected Dathoria quest data

Quest Notes

Amber forgot her private notebook on the raft she used to reach Rookgaard. Find the raft on the south-eastern coast, take the notebook from its chest and return the authentic book to Amber for a Short Sword. The chest can be claimed once per character, while Amber can exchange additional authentic notebooks received from other players.

Objective: Recover Amber's authentic notebook from the raft and return one valid notebook to Amber using the exact book/notebook and yes dialogue.

Walkthrough

  1. Find Amber in the resting room below Rookgaard Academy. Speaking with her first is optional, but she explains where the notebook was lost.
  2. For the story dialogue, say hi, adventures, raft. You may also say quest or mission after the greeting to receive the same directions.
  3. Leave the academy and travel to the south-eastern coast of Rookgaard. Follow the shoreline until you find Amber's small raft.
  4. Clear or avoid the Poison Spiders and other creatures around the raft before using the chest.
  5. Use the chest on the raft. With free capacity and inventory space, you receive Amber's Notebook. Each character may claim this chest once.
  6. Return to Amber below Rookgaard Academy with the authentic notebook in your inventory or inside an accessible backpack.
  7. Say hi, book, yes. The keyword notebook may be used instead of book.
  8. Amber removes exactly one authentic notebook and gives you one Short Sword.
  9. Check that the Short Sword entered your inventory. Additional authentic notebooks can be returned through the same dialogue.

Part 1 — Learn About the Lost Notebook

Amber is below Rookgaard Academy; this conversation is optional but gives the historical directions.

  3. Say adventures and then raft to hear how she crossed the sea and forgot her notebook.

Part 2 — Find the Raft and Take the Notebook

The raft is on the south-eastern shore of Rookgaard.

Complete step-by-step
  1. Travel east and then south from Rookgaard Academy toward the south-eastern coastline.
  2. Follow the coast until you see a small raft with a quest chest.
  3. Clear or avoid nearby Poison Spiders before standing beside the chest.
  4. Use the chest once. The server creates Amber's authentic notebook with its original written text.
  5. Open the book if desired and verify that it contains Amber's list beginning with Hardek and Bozo and ending with Noodles.
Important route notes
  • If the chest says it is empty, that character has already collected the notebook.
  • Do not discard the book or replace it with a normal book; Amber validates the authentic quest item.
  • Another player may give you an authentic notebook, and Amber will accept it normally.

Part 3 — Return the Notebook to Amber

Use the exact exchange dialogue and keep enough capacity for the heavier reward.

  • Carry a little more than 35 oz of free capacity before speaking to Amber, because the Short Sword is heavier than the notebook.
  • New characters should kill or lure the Poison Spiders away from the raft before opening the chest.
  • Use book or notebook exactly; outfit, addon and salmon are separate Amber systems.
  • If you received the notebook from another player, you can skip the raft and return it directly to Amber.
