Quest Notes

Fight through the Edron Dragon Lair, pass the level 60 Gate of Expertise and survive the classic room with three Dragon Lords. Claim the visible treasure Bag, then remove the Fire Fields, open the concealed Pick hole and descend to recover the hidden Fire Axe.

Objective: Collect the Ring of Healing, Dragon Necklace and 7 Small Diamonds from the main chest, then use Destroy Field and a Pick to reach the separate Fire Axe reward below.

Walkthrough

  1. Travel to Edron and prepare before entering the northern Dragon Lair. Carry Rope, Pick, several Destroy Field Runes, fire protection and enough supplies for the return.
  2. Follow the Dragon Lair route downward, clearing Dragons and narrow passages instead of running blindly through the respawn.
  3. Reach the Gate of Expertise at the lower section. Only characters level 60 or higher can pass.
  4. Descend into the final room and defeat or safely control the three Dragon Lords before approaching the reward area.
  5. Open the main reward chest and verify that you received a Bag containing one Ring of Healing, one Dragon Necklace and seven Small Diamonds.
  6. Move to the Fire Field cluster near the concealed route. Remove the field on the exact secret tile with Destroy Field.
  7. Use the Pick on the cleared floor tile to transform it into a hole, then step into the opening and descend.
  8. Follow the short lower passage and use the remains/reward object to receive one Fire Axe.
  9. Confirm all four reward types before leaving. The Fire Axe completes the Quest Log, while the main chest remains a separate one-time reward.

Part 1 — Prepare in Edron

The final room is dangerous and the hidden reward requires two tools.

  1. Travel to Edron with a Premium Account character and confirm that the character is at least level 60.
  2. Place the Pick and Destroy Field Runes in an easy-to-reach backpack. Do not bury them below loot backpacks.
  3. Carry a Rope for the classic cave route and enough supplies to fight your way back after collecting the rewards.
  4. Leave at least two usable inventory positions: one for the main reward Bag and one for the Fire Axe.
  5. Use fire-resistant equipment or rings if available; the route contains Dragons, Dragon Lords and many Fire Fields.
Important route notes
  • There is no NPC to start the quest.
  • A team is recommended but not required by the server.

Part 2 — Enter the Edron Dragon Lair

Follow the northern mountain route and descend through the Dragon areas.

  1. Leave Edron toward the northern Dragon Lair and enter the mountain cave.
  2. Descend through the normal Dragon sections, clearing each narrow room before moving to the next floor.
  3. Use the route rope spots where required and keep the return path in mind; the quest does not teleport you out.
  4. Continue toward the deepest classic section until you reach the level door area.
  5. Do not waste the Destroy Field Runes during the approach; reserve them for the secret reward tile.
Important route notes
  • Normal monster respawns remain active.
  • Running through the route may leave Dragons blocking the return.

Part 3 — Pass the Level 60 Gate

The Gate of Expertise checks level only.

  1. Reach the Gate of Expertise in the lower Dragon Lair.
  2. Clear the Dragon Lord guarding the approach before standing at the door.
  3. Walk through with a level 60+ character. Level 59 or lower cannot pass.
  4. No key, storage, vocation or previous quest is required.
  5. After crossing, heal fully and prepare for the final descent.
Important route notes
  • The door can be used in both directions.
  • The Premium requirement comes from Edron access, not from a second scripted door check.

Part 4 — Survive the Triple Dragon Lord Room

Three Dragon Lords guard the two reward routes.

  1. Descend into the final room and avoid stepping directly into the centre before the team is positioned.
  2. Control the three Dragon Lords one at a time whenever possible. Use walls and corners to reduce simultaneous attacks.
  3. Clear creatures from the main chest and Fire Field area before attempting either reward.
  4. Do not stand on the concealed Pick tile while another player uses Destroy Field or Pick.
  5. Once the room is safe, collect the visible reward first so it cannot be forgotten after opening the hidden route.
Important route notes
  • The Dragon Lords are normal respawns, not bosses.
  • No kill counter is required; surviving the room is the challenge.

Part 5 — Claim the Main Treasure Bag

This chest is independent from the hidden Fire Axe reward.

  1. Locate the reward chest in the south-western side of the final room.
  2. Make sure the character has room and capacity before using it.
  3. Open the chest once. The server delivers one Bag containing one Ring of Healing, one Dragon Necklace and seven Small Diamonds.
  4. Open the received Bag and count all three reward types immediately.
  5. If the chest reports a capacity or room problem, free space and use it again; the reward is not consumed by a failed delivery.
  6. After a successful claim, using this chest again on the same character reports that it is empty.
Important route notes
  • The Fire Axe is not inside this chest.
  • Another character can claim the same map chest using their own one-time storage.

Part 6 — Reveal the Secret Pick Hole

Remove the correct Fire Field before using the Pick.

  1. Move to the cluster of Fire Fields near the centre of the final reward area.
  2. Use Destroy Field on the fields until the concealed floor tile is completely clear.
  3. Stand next to the cleared tile; do not place items or creatures on it.
  4. Use the Pick directly on the cleared secret floor. A successful use transforms it into an open hole.
  5. If nothing happens, recheck the exact tile and confirm that no Fire Field remains on top of it.
  6. Step into the opened hole before it returns through its normal decay/reset.
Important route notes
  • Shovel does not replace the Pick.
  • The Pick is not consumed.
  • The hole is a map mechanism and may already be open if another player used it recently.

Part 7 — Recover the Hidden Fire Axe

The lower reward object is separate and can be claimed once per character.

  1. Descend through the opened Pick hole to the lower floor.
  2. Follow the short passage to the remains/reward object holding the Fire Axe.
  3. Clear enough capacity and inventory room before using the object.
  4. Use it once to receive one Fire Axe.
  5. Verify the item in the inventory. If delivery fails because of room or capacity, correct the problem and use the object again.
  6. Using the object again after successful delivery reports that it is empty for that character.
Important route notes
  • The Fire Axe weighs 40.00 oz.
  • Receiving the Fire Axe marks the Fire Axe Quest as completed in the Dathoria Quest Log.

Part 8 — Verify Both Rewards and Leave

Do not leave with only one of the two independent rewards.

  • Reserve several Destroy Field Runes exclusively for the secret tile; Fire Fields can make it difficult to identify the correct square.
  • Claim the visible chest before opening the Pick hole so the secondary treasure is not forgotten.
  • Fight the three Dragon Lords away from the reward tiles to avoid blocking the chest or concealed floor.
  • Keep at least 40.00 oz for the Fire Axe in addition to the capacity needed for the main reward Bag.
  • When doing the quest as a team, let each player claim both reward objects before the group leaves.
