Quest Log completion for Medusa Shield Quest. One Dathoria Quest Point linked to the personal reward storage.Optional altar spawns after a clean map reset: White Pearl, Black Pearl, Small Ruby and Small Emerald.Quest Notes
The classic Tibia 8.0 Medusa Shield Quest in the deepest crypts below Drefia. Cross the undead dungeon, pass the level 60 Gates of Expertise, survive the final chamber and open the eastern coffin to receive Medusa Shield, Skull Staff and Blue Robe. Four ordinary gems may also be found on the stone altars after a clean map reset.
Objective: Reach the deepest Drefia treasure chamber, pass both level 60 gates and claim the three permanent rewards from the eastern coffin.
Walkthrough
- Travel west from Darashia to the ruins of Drefia. Enter the underground necromancer complex with Rope, Shovel and all supplies prepared before descending.
- Follow the deeper crypt route through Ghouls, Ghosts, Mummies and Demon Skeletons. Clear stair tiles before moving the whole team because monsters can surround players immediately after a floor change.
- Continue through the Vampire, Priestess and Necromancer sections. Use area runes carefully in narrow corridors and keep a Dwarven Ring ready for invisible Ghosts.
- Reach the first Gate of Expertise. Only characters level 60 or higher can pass. The gate checks level only; no storage, NPC mission or boss kill is required.
- Advance through the next undead chambers and pass the second level 60 gate. Do not split the party between the two gates unless every player can survive alone.
- Enter the final treasure area and clear the monsters around the eastern coffin. Necropharus may occasionally appear nearby through an independent rare raid, but his death is never required.
- Use the eastern coffin. A fresh character receives one reward container holding Medusa Shield, Skull Staff and Blue Robe.
- Confirm all three items entered your inventory. If capacity or inventory space is insufficient, free space and use the coffin again; the personal reward must not be consumed before successful delivery.
- After a clean map reset, inspect the four stone altar positions for White Pearl, Black Pearl, Small Ruby and Small Emerald. These are shared world spawns, so another player may already have collected them.
- Leave by the same safe route and verify that the Medusa Shield Quest appears as completed in the Quest Log.
Complete Step-by-Step Guide
Part 1 — Enter Drefia
Prepare in Darashia before entering the underground ruins.
Complete step-by-step
- Bring Rope, Shovel, healing, mana supplies and enough capacity for the complete reward set.
- Travel to Drefia west of Darashia and enter the necromancer crypts.
- Clear each stair landing before additional players descend.
Important route notes
- The quest has no starting NPC and does not need to be activated.
- Premium access comes from the region, not from the reward coffin.
Part 2 — Cross the Undead Crypts
The route becomes progressively more dangerous.
Complete step-by-step
- Fight through Ghouls, Ghosts, Mummies and Demon Skeletons.
- Continue into the Vampire, Priestess and Necromancer sections.
- Keep the team together in narrow corridors and recover before every stair change.
Important route notes
- Ghosts can turn invisible; a Dwarven Ring is useful but not mandatory.
- Life drain and ranged magic damage are the greatest risks in the deeper rooms.
Part 3 — Level 60 Gates
Both Gates of Expertise require level 60.
Complete step-by-step
- Pass the first level 60 gate after clearing its approach.
- Continue through the next combat section.
- Pass the second level 60 gate and regroup before entering the final chamber.
Important route notes
- A level 59 character cannot complete the normal route.
- The gates do not check Premium status, quest storage or a monster kill.
Part 4 — Treasure Chamber
One personal coffin reward and four shared altar spawns.
Complete step-by-step
- Clear the final room and reach the eastern coffin.
- Use the coffin to receive Medusa Shield, Skull Staff and Blue Robe together.
- Check that every item was delivered before leaving.
- Optionally inspect the four altars for White Pearl, Black Pearl, Small Ruby and Small Emerald.
Important route notes
- The main reward is personal and one-time per character.
- The four gems are shared map spawns and may be absent if another player collected them.
- Necropharus is optional and belongs to an independent rare raid.

-Dathoria Tips
- Check capacity before entering Drefia so you do not need to reorganise inventory while surrounded by undead creatures.
- Use stair traps in your favour: let the blocker descend first and secure the landing before fragile characters follow.
- Do not wait for Necropharus; the rare raid has no connection to the personal quest reward.
- If the four gems are missing, another player probably collected the shared spawns after the last map reset.
- Open the Quest Log after receiving the items to confirm the storage was registered correctly.
