Who can summon?
Sorcerers, Druids and their promoted vocations can use Summon Creature (utevo res "creature") after meeting the spell requirements.
Summons are temporary creatures controlled by their master. They can help block passages, absorb attacks and deal damage, but they never gain levels or experience of their own.

A player may control up to two summons at the same time. Attempting to exceed the limit will not create another creature.
Summons have no level, skill training, experience bar or permanent growth. A new summon starts with the normal statistics of that creature.
| Mechanic | How it works |
|---|---|
| Following the master | Summons attempt to remain near their master and move through available paths. Narrow passages, obstacles and creature blocking can delay them. |
| Targeting | A summon assists its master in combat and attacks valid hostile targets according to the server's creature AI. |
| Blocking | Summons occupy map tiles like other creatures. They can be used tactically, but poor positioning may also trap the master or block allies. |
| Death | A killed summon disappears. It does not leave a player-style death penalty and must be summoned again. |
| Master separation | Summons are temporary companions and may be removed when their master is no longer able to maintain them, such as after logout or death. |
| Loot | Summons do not own loot. Items remain in the defeated creature's corpse and are handled by players normally. |
Dathoria uses a clear summon experience rule. The summon itself never receives or stores experience; any eligible experience is credited to its master.
| Combat situation | Experience received by the master |
|---|---|
| Player causes 100% of the damage | 100% of the experience attributed to that player. |
| Player causes any direct damage and one or more summons also help | 100% of the combined experience portion generated by the player and that player's summons. |
| Summon or summons cause all damage and the player causes zero direct damage | 50% of the experience generated by those summons. |
| Creature value | Damage situation | Master receives |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000 XP | Player deals all damage. | 1,000 XP |
| 1,000 XP | Player deals 100 damage and the summon deals 900. | 1,000 XP |
| 1,000 XP | Player deals 1 damage and the summon deals the remainder. | 1,000 XP |
| 1,000 XP | The summon deals all damage; the player deals none. | 500 XP |
| 800 XP | Two summons belonging to the same player deal all damage. | 400 XP |
Multiple players: the rule is evaluated separately for each master. One player attacking directly does not remove the summon-only penalty from another player who caused damage only through summons.
Cause direct damage to every target when you want the full combined experience from your summon and your character.
Summons can protect you, but they can also occupy the tile you need. Plan stairs, doors and corridors before engaging.
A summon costs mana and time to replace. Avoid exposing it unnecessarily to strong area attacks or creatures it cannot resist.
Consider the summon creature's attacks, speed, defenses and movement limitations before selecting a hunting area.
Summon-only kills award only half experience and unattended hunting remains unsafe and subject to the server rules.
Summon damage remains part of its master's contribution, while party experience itself continues to be based on damage.
| Does the summon gain experience? | No. The summon never levels up or stores experience. |
|---|---|
| Does one hit from the player count? | Yes. Any valid direct damage by the master removes the summon-only penalty for that master's combined contribution to that creature. |
| Does healing the summon count as participation? | No. Only direct damage to the defeated creature counts. |
| Does the player need to land the final hit? | No. The final hit is not the deciding factor; direct participation in damage is. |
| Can two summons together give full XP without player damage? | No. If the master causes zero direct damage, the combined summon contribution is reduced to 50%. |
| Does Shared Experience redistribute summon XP? | No. Dathoria does not use Shared Experience. See the Party Experience guide. |
