Grand Rookie King
Ruler • Rookstayer oath
He was keeper of the central bridge when the old council fled. By organising shelters and carrying the wounded, he became king through service rather than birth. A level 8 None must greet him with “hail king” to take the permanent Rookstayer oath.

The Wise Guardian
Royal brother • Historian
He refused a second crown and chose to preserve memory. Ask about Rookie Town, the King, Rookbeards, resident families, ancients or monsters; say “continue” to hear each complete chapter.

Captain Coward Rookbeard
Sailor • Rookgaard → Rookie Town
Baldrik’s son and Brave’s brother. Grumbar lured him to an underground river and tried to kill him. Coward escaped to Rookgaard; years later his ship reopened the route. His fear is experience, and every warning is sincere.

Captain Brave Rookbeard
Sailor • Rookie Town → Rookgaard
Brave remained on the island without knowing why his brother vanished. He searches for Coward and Baldrik through every traveller and begins his part of the divided-family story.

Baldrik Rookbeard
Father • Cave guardian
Father of Coward and Brave and brother of Mad Grumbar. He stays near the cave to contain his brother, protect visitors and search for the sons separated by the tragedy. Only his final trust opens Grumbar’s chamber.

Ancient Minondas
Ancient guardian • Promotion
He guarded the first spring before the town had a name. Minondas believes strength creates responsibility; at level 15 he performs the 3,000 gp Supreme Rookstayer rite.

Ancient Mandiokin
Ancient guardian • Blessings
Mandiokin judges deeds instead of wealth. He grants the five regular blessings only to Rookstayers who completed every family task, charging the normal level-based price for each missing blessing.

Old Siddy
Banker • Doddy’s father
An exceptional Mainland banker worn down by responsibility. He moved with Karmen and newborn Doddy, opened a modest bank and kept working just enough to serve the town without losing himself again.

Sra Karmen
Postal merchant • Doddy’s mother
Karmen saw great-company work consuming her husband and accepted his dream of a quieter life. Her parcels, labels and letters kept the forgotten island connected. She remembers the childhood parcel no ledger could explain.

Lord Doddy
Outfitter • Explorer • Husband
Raised among every island danger, Doddy knows which equipment belongs in each hunt. He met Natty while fishing beside her blueberry grove. Recover his childhood armor to earn his trust and open his complete shop.

Sir Joshue
Farmer • Builder • Natty’s father
After building roads and walls across Mainland, Joshue retired to the life he always wanted: a farm beside Donna Meiry. His food supports every expedition, and his task reveals how deeply the family cares for one another.

Donna Meiry
Healer • Natty’s mother
Once among Mainland’s most sought healers and prayer women, Donna now stands between town and danger. She heals characters below 200 HP and removes poison and fire.

Pretty Natty
Remedy maker • Wife • Mother
Daughter of Joshue and Donna, wife of Doddy and mother of Lunna. She inherited healing and patient craftsmanship, creating life fluid, mana fluid, antidote and IH runes from ingredients gathered near the river.

Lady Fabby
House decorator • Healer • Chosen sister
A former Mainland traveller whose rare spiritual strength was recognised by Donna Meiry. Her inseparable friendship with Pretty Natty made her end her wandering, settle permanently in Rookie Town and open a 106-item house decoration shop.

Sweet Lunna
Tool merchant • Young explorer
Clever, stubborn, mischievous and deeply kind. Lunna inherited Doddy’s adventurous spirit and Natty’s compassion. Her shelter expedition rewards explorers who prepare carefully and return safely.
