Reach level 8 while still having vocation None.
Visit the Grand Rookie King above the free-area Oracle.
Say hail king. A simple “hi” is rejected because the King demands respect.
Ask about Rookstayer, listen to the permanent warning and confirm with yes.
Permanent decision: once the oath is accepted, the character cannot return to None, choose a Mainland vocation or leave through The Oracle.
Rookstayers receive Magic Level 1 immediately. This allows them to use the Intense Healing Rune (IH), sold exclusively by Pretty Natty in Rookie Town.
Ancient Minondas raises a promoted character directly to Magic Level 2 during the Supreme rite. The promotion does not undo the permanent Rookgaard commitment.
Reach level 8, greet the Grand Rookie King with hail king and decide whether Rookie Town will become your permanent legacy.
